Last week, the Superintendent of the Chilean Casino and Games (SCG) allowed the certification and launch of two new casinos. The inauguration will see the first casino in Osorno, whose doors will open on Tuesday January 13 2009, while the Casino de Temuco will do the same the next day at seven in the evening.
The Osorno casino will be the ninth casino regulated and controlled by the SCJ to open its doors to the public, and will be followed by that of Temuco. Nowadays, there are 8 new casinos in operation in Antofagasta, Copiapo, Santa Cruz, Mostazal, Talca, Pinto (Termas de Chillán), Talcahuano and Los Angeles.
Other works of the project construction of Osorno -which consists of a five-star hotel, a gym and swimming pool, events, bowling and thematic boulevard, bars and restaurants- will continue until 29 March 2009.
For the project of Temuco Casino, SCJ authorized on December 29 last year the beginning of commercial exploitation of its convention center and disco. However, the management company must complete by 4 March 2009, the 5-star hotel, business center, shopping center spa, fitness center and swimming pool; boulevard of restaurants, showrooms, playing areas for children and nursery.
